it would be nice if this attorney were advocating for the countless women forced into an unnecessary C-section…Too bad nobody gets upset about that.

There are SO many things wrong with this report …. first – it’s your doctor’s responsibility to provide you with information about “the procedure” (otherwise known as birth, geez….) and you should also act as your own patient advocate. No woman should go into this without knowing the risks and benefits.

Also – I want to know what part Pitocin played in this – chances are her doctor pumped her so full of it that that’s what caused her uterus to rupture.

    What an uninformed report.

Bullshit. Ob Docs are very hesitant to do VBACs. And usually vbacs are safe. I cannot imagine any Doc doing a vbac without having given this woman loads of information on the risks also she must have signed a consent.

My heart goes out to this family.

There are great risk with C-sections as well. If at all possible (which usually IT IS) you should have a vaginal delivery the first time around so you never even have a C-Section in the first place, thus no other C-Sections or VBACS to concern yourself with. God made us to give birth vaginally and without meds, when able. =)
